Rob Halford – Metal God turns 72

Robert John Arthur Halford as is the full name of our beloved Metal God, was born on August 25, 2023 in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, England.
He is one of the most important, influential and recognizable heavy metal artists.
He joined Judas Priest in 1973, after meeting bassist Ian Hill, and a year later was introduced through the band’s first album “Rocka Rolla” (1984).
With Judas Priest he would release 13 albums, before his departure in 1992.
In the same year he will create Fight releasing 2 albums which received controversial criticism.
In 1999, he created his personal group with which he has released 5 albums.
In 2003 comes the time of the great comeback and creates great excitement in the world.
His approachable profile and many contributions to other artists’ work have endeared him to the entire metal community.
In 2022, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as a member of Judas Priest.
An important moment for him was the public disclosure on MTV in 1998, of his homosexuality, since this statement “liberated” him.
However his great career is still not over, giving us even today, even though his voice is not in perfect condition, amazing live performances.
