On this day 41 years ago, March 19, 1982, Randall William “Randy” Rhoads, left this world at just 25 years old, in a plane crash. The band bus driver decided to pilot, without a license, a small Beechcraft F35. In flight, one wing of the plane broke off, resulting in an inevitable crash. Rhoads’ body was found burned and identified by the jewelry the guitarist used to wear.
Despite his short career, he managed to influence many guitarists.
He also recorded two albums with Quiet Riot {Quiet Riot(1978) and Quiet Riot II(1978)}.
But where he showed his incredible talent, was with the two albums with Ozzy Osbourne {Blizzard of Ozz(1980) and Diary of Madman(1981)}.
