Today Power Metal music celebrates, celebrates the birth of an entire genre in heavy metal history, which defined the musical course of fast dynamic sound worldwide. Kai Hansen, Michael Weikath and Michael Kiske are in a synthetic and lyrical orgasm where with the release of the second of the two “Keeper of the Seven keys” and third album in total, they sealed and defined the sound of the “power” genre, showing the way, in the European power metal sound, defining the musical genre as it is heard to this day.
Synthetically, the combination of the “aggressive and fast” style of Kai Hansen combined with the melodic and “epic” style of Michael Kiske and Michael Weikath on guitars, created an exciting variety and an explosive, megaton effect.
The story of the Album “Keeper of the Seven Keys II” which is the continuation of “Keeper of the Seven Keys I” refers to a mysterious guardian who holds seven keys of the highest importance, the kleidokrator I would say. In the second part of the story, the narrative continues the journey and the adventures that happen in this world, with songs that reflect this imaginary context. Each track of the record contributes to the telling of this “imaginary” story.
The artwork of Helloween covers is from Uwe Karczewski, who unfortunately in 2021 past away.
The album went gold in Germany and reached N.108 on the US chart.
