1) Hello BLAX! Welcome to Metal War! Tell us the story of your creation.
Hi all, we are BLAX band! Our adventure started in March 2020 when our singer and songwriter Giampaolo Polidoro, alias Blax, started to collaborate with our guitarist Marco Fanella, alias Hektor, for the recording of the first demo-tape, which later became the music you can listen through our album “Meravilia” recorded during 2021. The BLAX project became a family in 2022 when the drummer Massimiliamo Bergo (alias Argex), the bass player Giulia Balestrieri (alias Katla), and the guitaristEmil Dellantonio (alias Hexen) joined the band.
2)Why did you decide the name BLAX? Is there any special meaning behind this name?
The name was spontaneously born while trying to grasp in its meaning between dark and black, intending a “black” soul.
3) Your first steps in discography are here! Your new album Meravilia is out! Is this a release that you’ve waited to create for a long time?
Every song of the first album “Meravilia“ was born from our singer Giampaolo (Blax) and then developed together with the guitarist Marco (Hektor) in 2/3 years, so not long time, but the idea was in Blax’s mind for a while.
4) Which are the strongest elements from the album Meravilia? What anyone can listen on your new album?
People who listen to album “Meravilia” express good feeling about the gothic sound which is reflected in the whole band image and concept. The very well done production of the album is another positive point received from both fans and music press.
5) Do you want to blend your music genres on your new album?
No, the second album will be a strong confirmation of the first one where the gothicinfluences meet a hard rock inspired sound.
6) Suggest us your favorite song from the new album Meravilia!
We would suggest “Our Brain Conditions”, of which you can find a very cool videoclip which is the exact representation of the BLAX family in terms of family members and living place.
7) We see that this period you hit the road! Bulgaria, Italy and Greece were some of the countries that you’ve appeared! How did you find our country?
Your country is beautiful, especially the historical air that you can feel when you walk around.
8) You played at Kyttaro Live Club for Demon Gates Festival! How was that experience? How did you find the Greek audience?
We enjoyed very much the show in Greece, the venue was very nice, good sound and good and involved public.
9) And now what? Which are the future plans of BLAX?
We have several dates planned for next year starting from January, for very nice festivals around Europe. Meanwhile we are working on the new album, and new video too.
